PTA

PTA/Friends

The PTA (Parent Teachers Association) or Friends of....... are the two main names given to the group of parents, carers, friends, teachers and school staff that get together to have fun, get to know other parents and school staff whilst raising funds for the school to purchase those things that the school budget cannot cover to benefit all pupils at the school.

There are a few websites links below to give you inspiration. These take you to external websites.

  • The Education Hub External Link - What do PTAs do and why should you join one?
  • Parentkind External Link - Parentkind exists to: Empower all with parental or educational responsibility to improve the life chances of children, young people and their communities.

FOGS - Friends of Grange School

FOGS is a very good way to bring together parents, teachers and the local community to raise money, support the school and make a difference for the children.

We aim to provide an opportunity for everyone to work together towards a common goal which will benefit the children and is open to all, even if they only have a small amount of time available to get involved.

FOGS was formed predominately to raise funds for the benefit of the pupils. FOGS is also a way for parents to become more involved with their children's school. Working in partnership with the school, FOGS can help to develop strong links between home and school.
