Curriculum aims

  • Progressive, ambitious curriculum which explicitly teaches the ‘sticky knowledge’ which we want children to be confident in by the end of the unit of work.
  • Reflects the statutory expectations of the National Curriculum.
  • Ensures opportunities for spaced retrieval are integrated to ensure that new learning is transferred into the children’s long term memory.
  • Expectations are demonstrated for ARE to ensure consistency across year group within the Trust.
